SURIGAO CITY (November 16) -- The 3rd National Philippine-Australian Alumni Association, Incorporated (PA3i) Assembly would be held on Nov. 22-23, 2007 at the Provincial Convention Center, this city.
Carrying the theme "Linking PA3i Expertise to Community Development," the assembly aims to strengthen relationship and camaraderie between and among members of PA3i chapters throughout the country, enrich the experiences of members through active sharing and interaction and provide opportunity for implementation of developmental initiatives and productive endeavors.
Gov. Robert Ace S. Barbers is set to welcome the more than 700 delegates coming from all over the country. Moreover, some dignitaries from the Australian Embassy are expected to grace the event.
PA3i is the umbrella organization for scholars and graduates of formal degree and training programs offered by Australian universities and training institutions. It was organized by the Public Affairs Section of the Australian Embassy on September 20, 2000 with the purpose of strengthening Philippine-Australian relations, supports AUSAID programs, reaching out to different chapters of the Association within the country and transcend territorial boundaries towards linkages with Australian Universities and institutions.
