PNP scores vs crimes in Placer

July 17 -- PNP personnel of Placer Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested suspect in Barangay Bad-as, Placer, Surigao del Norte and confiscated one unit caliber.45 pistol (COLT MK IV Series 80) bearing SN 729163, an empty magazine and two empty shell of said caliber from the suspect identified as Edgar Cabamongan Valdez, 37 years old, married, a gold panner & a resident of Sitio Mapaso, Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte on Monday (July 14) at 4:30 in the afternoon.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspect fired his pistol five times and even broke the windshield glass of a motorela/motorized tricycle parked beside the road at Sitio Mapaso, Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte.

When Placer Municipal Police Station personnel responded, the suspect fled on board a single motorcycle that prompted the police officers to conduct a pursuit operation and eventually arrested the suspect.

Arrested suspect and confiscated items were brought to Placer MPS for proper disposition.(PIA-13)
