Car thieves struck in Quezon City again, this time taking away a police official's pickup truck, radio dzMM reported Wednesday.
The report said unidentified men took a gray Mitsubishi Strada (LES-843) owned by Senior Superintendent Benhur Mongao, director of the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office.
The policeman's son, Christopher James Mongao, said the car thieves took the pickup while parked in front of their home along Dangay St., Veterans Village in Project 7.
The Quezon City Police District's anti-carnapping division was tracking down the suspects.
Anti-carnapping divisions in Metro Manila have also been advised about the latest car theft incident in Quezon City. (abs-cbn)

We wonder how Col. Mongao now Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Director acquired such luxury car driven by his son in Quezon City.
Mongao is former CIDG regional director in caraga region and rumored to have received protection money from illegal loggers in Caraga Region.
