The 140th Police Provincial Mobile Group (PPMG) of the Province of Dinagat Islands conducted a five-day training on Tactical Explosive Entry held recently at the municipality of San Jose and were participated by 29 members of the said mobile group. The composition of the participants of the training was PPMG personnel from North Cluster Detachment of the municipality of Libjo and South Cluster Detachment of the municipality of Cagdianao.
The 29 participants were divided into four teams and had performed Practical Activities on Rifle Exercises, Static Firing, and Building Entry using explosives, the High Explosives Silhouette Charge, Water Charge, and Linear Charge. Part of the training was the Low Explosives and High Explosives familiarization.
The training was manned by P/SUPT Virgil Taguimon Ranes, OS (Ordinance Service) as the Training Director who made sure that all of the participants were physically and mentally fit for the whole duration through conducting daily reveille, 4-kilometer run, and the PNP dozen exercises.
This Tactical Explosive Entry Training was designed with emphasis on safety and the responsible use of tactics which has proven to be very useful in high risk tactical law enforcement situations. Trainees took further advantage of using Explosive Entry Tactics.
The said five-day training successfully ended at Don Ruben, San Jose, Dinagat Islands by a simulation with a total of 40 training hours. (PO1 Hazel Canon and PO1 Amor Soriano, Ang Dinagatnon/ PIA-Caraga)
