7,000 Caraganons lost jobs in Northeastern Mindanao

At least 7,000 Caraganons lost their jobs after a number of companies in various parts of Northeastern Mindanao effected mass lay-offs due to global economic clampdown, the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DoLE’s) regional office here bared yesterday.

DoLE Caraga records showed that from the five provinces and six cities in the region, some wood firms might also temporarily close shop due to the alleged plunging market for wood finish products.

To counter unemployment, the DOLE Caraga region will conduct job hiring in every province and city in the region.

Qualified applicants during job hiring will get their salary from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) including their PhilHealth while their SSS will be shoulder by the local government unit (LGU) where they will get their work, said DOLE regional officials.

A highlight of the program is the hiring of 355 nurses set to be deployed in Agusan del Nore, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and Dinagat Islands province.

The project aims to address the glut in inexperienced nurses and increase accessibility of health care services for the marginalized and poor sector. Tempo

Its good to know that Surigao is hiring nurses. The bad news is, adtu kaw sa mga politiko mag-apply, dili kon sa mga hospitals. Bag oha na ton nijo.

I agree with this noble observation na adto kajud sa mga politiko apply instead sa mga Ospital.

Grabe ang pamolitika diri sa Caraga Region, same family names ruled for decades the reason why it failed to economically improved.
