THE SANDIGANBAYAN has junked graft charges against an incumbent congressman and seven others on alleged anomalous purchases of medical supplies worth P3.28 million.
In a 51-page resolution promulgated on Aug. 4 and penned by Associate Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, the court’s first division ruled that the prosecution failed to present sufficient proof of evidence against Surigao del Norte Rep. Francisco T. Matugas (1st district) and his co-accused. (BW)
