Report on direct assault and damage to property in San Jose, Dinagat Islands

On July 28, 2009 at 7:45 in the evening, personnel of San Jose Municipal Police Station received a phone call from the populace of Purok-1, Barangay Matingbe, San Jose, Dinagat Islands Province informing them about a drunk person identified as Arhuro Delmores, married and resident of said place who was acting discourteous to the residents of said place.

PNP personnel of San Jose Municipal Police Station led by Chief of Police PINSP Noel D Guarin immediately responded and upon arrival, they confronted the suspect. However, Delmores refused to talk and instead, he kicked the Patrol Vehicle of the Police several times and boastfully said "I am not scared to you".

PINSP Guarin tried to subdue the suspect but he (suspect) continuously resisted, fought back and boxed PINSP Guarin which sustained wound and bruise on his left arm.

Suspect was brought to San Jose Municipal Police Station by responding PNP personnel and now detained thereat.
Appropriate charges are prepared for filing in court against the suspect. Progress report to follow. (PNP-13)
