Budget airline Zest Airways Inc. (Zest Air) plans to mount flights to Surigao and Siargao Islands this November.
Reports revealed that the airline's flight from Manila to Surigao will starts its operation on November 16, 2009. Flight Z2 370 is scheduled to leave Manila at 1230 arriving at 1415 in Surigao City. The return Z2 371 flight is set to take off at 1435 landing in Manila Domestic Airport at 1620 which operates every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The airline will be using its brand-new 60-seater MA60 aircraft from China delivered few months ago.
Also, the Manila-Siargao route operates its thrice-weekly service every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday starting November 17, 2009. Flight Z2 378 departs from Manila at 1230 and arrives in Siargao at 1415. The return flight Z2 379 leaves at 1435 and reaches Manila at 1620.
After the Siargao – Manila route, Zest Air is expected to introduce flight from Cebu to Siargao four-time weekly service on December 8, 2009 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, sparing travelers to the surfing destination a three-hour ferry from Surigao City. Flight Z2 578 departs from Cebu at 1030 and arrives in Siargao at 1120. The return flight Z2 579 leaves at 1150 and reaches Cebu at 1240.
At present, Zest Air flies to Caticlan, Busuanga, Calbayog, Catarman, Marinduque, San Jose and Virac from Manila. It started flying new routes to Iloilo, Legaspi, Naga, Puerto Princesa, Davao, Kalibo, Tacloban and Tagbilaran.
