The banner of Lakas-Kampi-CMD in the gubernatorial fight in Surigao del Norte will be led by Sol Matugas who recently retired from the Department of Education (DepEd) as a regional director after more than 43 years of dedicated and meaningful service in government.Matugas was the unanimous choice of the leadership of Lakas-Kampi-CMD for the top position in Surigao del Norte believing that her long record of devoted service in the government will be very useful in governing the province in the next three years.
As an educator, Matugas knows the primary problems of people and the programs that must be implemented to promote their interest and welfare, it was pointed out.
In the mayoral race in Surigao City, Lakas-Kampi-CMD is fielding Engr. Ernesto T. Matugas as its official candidate.
An educator and civic leader, he heads a company engaged in the construction and development of housing projects. Matugas said he will bat for full transparency in public service if he is elected mayor. (ET Suarez, MB)
