Mild quakes hit Surigao Norte, CamSur

Two mild quakes struck in Surigao del Norte and Camarines Sur, early Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The Phivolcs said a 4.9 magnitude quake struck around 12:47 a.m. at 45 kilometers south of Naga City in Camarines Sur.

The quake was felt at intensity 3 in Naga City.

It was also felt at intensity 2 in part of Metro Manila, including Pasay City and Muntinlupa; and Guinayangan in Quezon province.

A 4.1 magnitude quake, meanwhile, struck 95 kilometers off Surigao City in Surigao del Norte at 9:16 a.m.

The Phivolcs said Intensity 2 was felt in Loreto town on Dinagat Island.
