The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Caraga Region turned-over P3.4 Million worth of equipments to 1st District Cong. Francisco Matugas.
In a ceremonial turn-over held Monday, July 19 at the Philippine Gateway Hotel, TESDA Reg’l Director Florencio Sunico, Jr. said these equipments which were donated from TESDA Central Office are intended for enrollees in the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Automotive in Siargao Island.
“This is not an ordinary equipment, it’s quite advanced,” said Sunico.
Sunico said that the equipments were already in Butuan City, “the equipment is with us na.”
The said equipments are set to be delivered to Siargao after the completion of the Siargao Manpower Training Center. “Since Siargao Manpower is not yet fully operational, we’ll just use it at the Provincial Manpower Training Center,” he said.
Meantime, Cong. Matugas bared that it was actually his friend from TESDA Central Office who gave him an idea. “I also ask Jun (Sunico) as to what equipment is needed for Siargao,” Matugas said. (PIA-Surigao del Norte)
