Phivolcs: Magnitude-4.4 quake hits Surigao

A magnitude-4.4 quake rocked Surigao in Mindanao Sunday afternoon, but state seismologists said no damage to property was expected.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 5:29 p.m. and was tectonic in origin. It said the epicenter was 56 kms northeast of Surigao City.

There was no initial report of intensities felt in the area.

No aftershock was expected from Sunday afternoon's quake, Phivolcs said.

For its part, the United States Geological Survey said the quake's epicenter was 45 km east-northeast of Surigao, 110 km north-northeast of Butuan, 130 km south of Guiuan in Samar, or 750 km southeast of Manila. - KBK, GMANews.TV

I dont mind as long as these politicians will do it for the good of their towns or constituent but not for their vested personal interest so they can collect more money to use for the next elections. Common guys think of your children's future and the legacy that you can give to your town. Is it really worthy to be called a crooked politicians? What happened to that { thou shalt not steal?} Can we not change for the sake of our decaying moral values in philippine politics?It is not too late yet if the follow the God fearing and honest president P-noy Aquino.
