Report on stabbing incident in Mat-i

One Welijado Avisado Fabio Jr, 53 years old, married, farmer and resident of P-9, Sitio Hubasan, Brgy Mat-I, Surigao City was stabbed to death by one Noel Apole Estampa, alias'Wewe", 29 years old, married, farmer, native of Mayag, Sison, Surigao del Norte and presently residing at P-12, Sitio Tagbasingan, Brgy Mat-I, Surigao City.

Victim sustained one stabbed wound on his left chest and rushed to Surigao City Medical Center by the responding Quick Action Response Team in Surigao City but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Incident took place at Public Cemetery, Sitio Cagpangi Brgy Mat-I, Surigoa City on November 27, 2010 at 9:30 am. Suspect was arrested by the responding members of 30 IB Phil Army who conducted patrolling at the said area when the incident happened. Suspect was then turned over including folding knife measuring about 8 inches to Surigao City Police Station. Case now prepared for filing in court. Progress report to follow.
