A moderate earthquake rocked parts of Mindanao Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its website, Phivolcs said that 5.8 intensity earthquake was felt at 2:47 p.m. with epicenter at 86 kilometers northeast of Mati City, Davao Oriental. The quake has a depth of 92 kilometers and was of tectonic origin, Phivolcs said.
Intensity 5 was felt in Prosperidad, Agusan Del Sur; intensity 4 in Davao City, Placer, Surigao del Norte; intensity 3 in Butuan City and Cagayan de Oro City; intensity 2 in General Santos City, Surigao City and Makilala town in North Cotabato and; intensity 1 in Hibok-hibok and Cebu City.
No aftershocks are expected, a Radio Inquirer report said. (Inquirer.net with reports from Radyo Inquirer)
