Gov. Sol hands-over 1M cash assistance to Placer Women’s Org

Gov. Sol Matugas personally handed-over P1Million cash assistance to the United Women’s Association (UWA) for the establishment of a Women’s Center during a culmination program of the Women’s Month Celebration held recently at Placer Dome, Placer, Surigao del Norte.

UWA President Daisy Imelda Napuli gladly received the financial assistance saying their longtime dream of building a center solely for women will finally be realized.

Gov. Matugas, on the other hand, acknowledged the role of women and their worth in building a family.

Aside from the 1M financial assistance, all 20 barangay captains of Placer also received P2,000 worth of cash assistance from the provincial government.

The lady governor also revealed that the provincial government is mulling the establishment of a Provincial Hospital and Provincial Community College in Placer. (Surigao Norte Prov’l Information Center/FEA/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
