A 4.5- magnitude earthquake hit Surigao City in Surigao del Norte and the province of Dinagat Islands on Saturday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Sunday.
According to Antonio Madrio of Phivolcs Surigao, the quake struck 24 kilometers southwest of Loreto, province of Dinagat Islands at a depth of 52 km.
The quake hit at 10:56 p.m., Phivolcs added.
Intensity 5 was felt in Libjo, Dinagat Island; intensity 4 in San Jose and Loreto; intensity 3 in the municipality of Dinagat; and intensity 2 in Basilisa and Cagdianao. Intensity 1 was felt in Surigao City.
No aftershock or damage has been reported so far.
