The Panambay sa Barangay (Barangay medical mission) in the entire province has benefited 46 thousand Surigaonons, a year after Gov. Sol Matugas assumed office.
The office of the governor has conducted the Panambay sa Barangay in all 20 municipalities and 15 barangays of the province with 21,914 clients served for medical consultation; 4,238 clients for dental extraction/consultation; 1,231 children were circumcised and some 4,263 clients for laboratory services, said Matugas.
“We have also offered medical, dental, laboratory and other services at the Provincial Health Office Clinic serving a total of 14,111 clients as of date,” she added.
Gov. Matugas also said the collaboration with the private medical practitioners of the city has been established to address the shortage of medical doctors in the conduct of Panambay sa Barangay.
