The award was given to Barbers by the Gawad Amerika Foundation during the 10th Annual Gawad Amerika Awards last Saturday at the Celebrity Centre International on Franklin Ave., Hollywood, California, United States.
Gawad Amerika Foundation has chosen Barbers from a prestigious list of duly-nominated government officials for the coveted categories, the highest of which is that of the “Most Outstanding Public Servant” award, a distinction befitting only of government executives with a sterling track record of solid achievements and relevant advocacies, and have exhibited a strong commitment and an unwavering courage in pushing reforms most needed to address the country’s most pressing problems and the people’s priority needs.
