SURIGAO CITY (Aug. 30) - A former policeman was killed in a
shoot-out with arresting officers during a drug buy-bust operation by members
of the Surigao City police station (SCPS) Saturday evening, (Aug. 27) in Brgy. Taft,
this city.
The target of the police operation was
Christopher "Loloy" Reyna, a former PNP member.
According to PNP report, Reyna noticed the
presence of the operatives and quickly drew his firearm and fired upon the
police which prompted the shoot-out and resulted to his death.
The operatives recovered suspected
"shabu " weighing 8.3 with Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P97, 940.00,
caliber . 38 revolver loaded with one fired and four live ammunitions and other
drug and non-drug paraphernalia.

Crime scene processing was conducted by
SOCO Surigao del Norte while an autopsy was also requested to the PNP Crime
Lab. (FEA)
