SURIGAO CITY (Aug. 31) - A former member of the Philippine National
Police (PNP) was killed in a shootout with his fellow policemen who were about
to serve him a warrant for violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against
Women and their Children Act of 2004.
The suspect was identified as Louie Requina Dillo, a resident of Purok 4,
Brgy. Honrado, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.
Investigation showed that at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, members of San
Francisco Municipal Police Station went to his residence to serve the warrant, but he refused to surrender to police authorities. He instead drew his firearm and
tried to shoot them using his cal . 38 revolver . Sensing a life-threatening
situation, the PNP personnel defended themselves and shot him twice that
resulted to his instantaneous death.

Recovered from the crime scene were : One (1) Cal. 38 revolver with six
rounds ammunition, two empty shells of Cal. 9MM pistol, three plastic sachets
of suspected shabu.
It was also learned that Dillo was listed number 1 in the San Francisco
police's target list of suspected drug personalities.
