Surigao City offers free palay hauling assistance for farmers

Surigao City – The Local Government of Surigao City, through the City Agriculture Office, is extending its full support to local farmers with the launch of the Operation Palay Hauling Assistance Program, according to a post from Surigao City PIO.

This initiative provides free transportation services to ensure that harvested palay is smoothly delivered to drying facilities or the market. With the ongoing harvest season, the local government aims to ease the burden on farmers by offering a free hauling truck service, complete with a driver, so they no longer have to worry about additional expenses for transport.

Additionally, the LGU has partnered with the National Food Authority (NFA) to facilitate the fair and timely purchase of palay at reasonable prices.
